The Ocean Star

The Ocean Star Offshore Oil Rig & Museum, located in Galveston, Texas, is a museum dedicated to the offshore oil and gas industry. The OCSAB developed a video and kiosk for the museum to share the role of the Land Profession Offshore.

Van Zandt Award

In 2002, the AAPL OCS Advisory Board established an award in the memory of C.M. Van Zandt. Van was special to many of us and an outstanding spokesman for all in our industry. He made the time to communicate and support both entry level as well as industry veterans. Van was an outstanding role model.

Guiding Principles

    Serve as a communication tool to BOEM and BSEE

    Serve as a forum for networking and sharing of information

  • Lead

    Provide leadership and expertise on access issues

  • Educate

    Provide opportunities for education

  • Develop

    Provide leadership, oversight, and development of the Operating Agreements

  • Assist

    Provide Production Handling Agreements, and other agreements which impact operations in the OCS

  • Advocate

    Work in a liaison role with other industry and professional organizations (NOIA, API, IPAA, OOC, AAPG, SEG, SPE, etc.)
